Where both boards talk to one another and motivate each other as peers, risk/reward sharing deals can become more fluid. Rewards do not have to be stipulated in the contract, Morgan says – they may be agreed as one-off bonuses from time to time.
Such close relationships are also a boon to BPO providers: once a customer has taken the risk-mitigation route and built up trust, it is locked into the relationship indefinitely.
