The companies who will make the most of new consolidation outsourcing opportunities are likely to be new market entrants, or established market suppliers who have transformed their business to take advantage of a new BPO revenue stream.
For example, cash management is another UK market likely to go the same way as cheque clearing over the next few months. ATM owners – the banks – are keen to outsource responsibility for replenishing their machines. Over
£20 million lies unused in ATMs at any one time and the banks are anxious to reduce this amount of ‘dead’ cash while maintaining service to customers.
