Standards
Standardisation would greatly ease collaborative commerce integration issues, and great strides are being made in this area.

The Web Services Interoperability Organisation was formed in February by IBM, Microsoft and 51 other vendors and enterprises. The consortium is dedicated to establishing that web services from one vendor’s application will work when called by another vendor’s applications. This will ensure that XML standards work as intended, and will also encompass SOAP, WSDL and UDDI standards.
